Turkey Visa for Georgian Citizens

Turkey visa process is a process that foreign nationals who will come to Turkey with the aim of not exceeding 90 days should apply to. Documents to be submitted by the applicant during the applications, fees to be paid, etc., vary according to the type of visa the foreign national is applying to. The list of countries that are eligible for Turkey e-visa is announced by the authorities of the Republic of Turkey from time to time.

A visa can be defined as a foreigner requesting an entry permit from the authorities of that country before entering the country of travel. However, the fact that a foreigner has a visa does not mean that he/she can obtain an unconditional entry permit to that country. The security officers at the door entrances can cancel the entry permit to the country if they deem necessary. Turkey visa varies depending on the bilateral visa agreement between Turkey and foreign countries.

Travels of Georgian citizens for touristic purposes are exempt from visa, provided that the total stay (residence) period in Turkey does not exceed 90 days in the last 180 days. Georgian nationals who want to come to Turkey to stay that will be longer than 90 days must take appropriate residence permit to do so.

Georgian citizens who enter Turkey can stay in Turkey for as long as their visa period or visa exemption period. In cases where this period is insufficient, Georgian citizens who want to stay within the borders of Turkey for a longer period of time can apply for a Turkish residence permit and continue to stay longer than the visa period for which permission has been obtained. According to the Law on Foreigners and International Protection, foreigners who want to reside in Turkey for a long time and who want to obtain a foreign residence permit must apply to the relevant administration by preparing the specified documents.

Migration Management Directorates in each province and district receive applications for foreign residence permits from all foreign nationals in accordance with their purpose and accept the residence permit applications of foreigners for evaluation.
