Turkey Medical Visa for Iraqi Citizens
Sometimes, people go to a foreign country for his/her medical treatment purposes. Over the years, Turkey has become one of the most sought-after destinations for medical tourism because of its excellent medical infrastructure and expert doctors in different fields of medicine.
Iraq nationals who want to come to Turkey for treatment may need to stay in Turkey for the entire duration of the treatment process. In this case, the Iraq national must apply for a residence permit in time, in order not to violate the visa duration. Citizens of countries who come to Turkey within the scope of visa exemption can apply for residence permit before the exemption period expires, and foreign nationals who come with a visa, before the visa expiry date.
The residence permit document, is issued in the form of a card after the establishment of the Immigration Administration and is a valid identity document in the Republic of Turkey, which includes the foreigner’s identity information, type of permit, start and end date.
While the share of health expenditures in Turkey’s tourism revenues was 1% in 2002, this rate increased to 4.5% in 2020. In the first quarter of 2021, 110,716 people received health services in Turkey.
