Applications for indefinite work permit have the same stages as a temporary work permit. If the person gains an unlimited work permit by obtaining a 6-year uninterrupted work permit, then an extension application for the ongoing permit will be made. The person does not need an extra residence permit to apply. Since the work permit also provides the right to a residence permit during the given period, when the work permit is issued indefinitely, it automatically becomes an indefinite residence permit. If the person has a work permit, then he / she gains the right to bring his spouse and children under the age of 18 to the country by obtaining a family residence permit.

Persons residing in Turkey for 8 years without interruption can also apply for an indefinite work permit. Persons who have continuously resided for 8 years also have a long-term residence permit. For those who will apply through this category, the work permit will start from the very beginning. An employment contract is signed between the recruiting company and the person. Based on this, the employer applies for an indefinite work permit for the person.

In both conditions specified in the indefinite work permit category, it is the situation where the person actually resides in Turkey. For this reason, all applications in this application category are carried out domestically. Applications abroad are not valid for this category. Work permit applications are carried out online with electronic signature. An indefinite work permit application is made through the system of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Applications made in this category are more difficult than the permanent work permit category, and the process is scrutinized more carefully.

The Republic of Turkey reserves the right to revoke this permit in cases that contradict the legal obligations, even if people are granted the right to work permit for an indefinite period of time.
